Your free walking tour of Venice will begin after meeting your guide at Campo San Geremia, just next to the historic church of the same name. From here, you'll delve into the history of the famous Italian city, discovering fascinating facts about its past, present and future thanks to your expert English-speaking guide

Cross over the Ponte degli Scalzi, whose name literally means "Bridge of the barefoot monks", one of only four bridges which span the Grand Canal. Stroll along the beautiful waterfront streets until you reach the Scuola Grande di San Giovanni Evangelista, founded by a 13th century confraternity  and home to a relic of the true cross.

The next stop on your free walking tour will be at the Basilica dei Frari, an imposing Italian Gothic-style church which houses a number of notable art works, including paintings by and the tomb of Renaissance master Titian. Delve deeper into the Venetian art world, reaching the Scuola Grande di San Rocco, often referred to as the "Sistine Chapel of Venice", and the Chiesa di San Pantalon, both known for their magnificent ceiling decoration.

Experience daily life in Venice wandering around Campo Santa Margherita, a cafe-lined square where Venetians come to sip on Aperol Spritz and nibble on typical local appetisers called cicchetti. You'll then get to see one of the many spots in the Italian city that have served as filming locations - do you recognise the library façade from Indiana Jones and the last Crusade? Admire yet more of Venice's spectacular architecture and cultural heritage as your route takes you past Gallerie dell'Accademia and an incredible 17th century gondola workshop.

Finally, your guided walking tour of Venice will come to an end at Punta della Dogana, an art museum located on the triangular tip of one of the islands, where the Grand Canal meets the Giudecca Canal, and where you'll enjoy breath-taking panoramic views of the city.
