The Giorgio Cini Foundation in Venice is divided into different spaces, all independent of one another. When making a reservation, you can choose which of them you prefer to visit:
Giorgio Cini Foundation Visit (45-60 minutes)
On this visit, you can take a journey through art and architecture by visiting the various rooms of the main building of the Giorgio Chini Foundation, which has an important collection of paintings with pieces by Titian, Botticelli, and Luca Signorelli.
The visit includes the cloisters, the Palladian refectory, the photography room, the Manica Lunga library and the view of the Longhena staircase. On weekends it is also possible to visit the Longuena library.
Borges Labyrinth Visit (45 minutes)
During the visit to the Borges Labyrinth, the gardens of the Giorgio Cini Foundation, you'll be able to explore its paths that branch off in different directions. Did you know that it was inspired by Jorge Luis Borges' short story The Garden of Forking Paths?
The visit begins at the Nuova Manica Lunga, the former sleeping quarters of the Benedictine convent that has been transformed into a library. The visit continues in the labyrinth, where you can lose yourself in its enchanting paths flanked by 3200 boxwood plants.
Green Forest and Vatican Chapels Visit (1 hour)
This tour will take you through two of the Cini Foundation's well-known venues: its Green Forest, its Green Theater, and the Vatican Chapels.
The Green Theater, which the actress Katherine Hepburn described as the most beautiful in the world, was built in the 1950s and had a stage of 1400 square meters (15,000 square feet). You can also visit the Vatican Chapels – ten small churches designed by renowned architects for the Holy See during its participation in the Architecture Biennale.
